Quick-start guide
Thanks for joining the Cisco Spark the Industry Challenge! You're officially registered now, and we’ll be sending you regular updates throughout the competition.
Here’s how to get started on building your Cisco Spark project. Submissions are due July 25 at 5pm ET.
- Plan your attack. Visit the categories page to learn more about the competition’s three categories and find inspiration for each one. Then visit the resources page for instructions on how to create a Cisco Spark developer account, plus an overview of Cisco Spark’s dev portal, documentation, and support links.
- Sign up for your free Cisco Spark account. After you create an account, head to the Spark for Developers Getting Started page. Browse the documentation and familiarize yourself with the dev portal.
- Get a head start on your submission. Fill out the basic fields on the application form and familiarize yourself with the submission requirements. This will give you a good idea of what you'll need to put together. Remember: you can edit your submission as many times as you like before the deadline.
- Optional (but recommended!): Form a team. Thinking about buddying up? Visit the participants page to find and meet teammates. You can see who else is looking for a teammate, check out what’s in their portfolio, and send them a message to connect. Consider signing up for the Cisco Spark Devpost 2017 space, too, where you can also meet & chat with other hackers!
We’re looking forward to seeing all the ways you’ll improve collaboration with Cisco Spark!
